Summary: Mendax is a privacy-first AI deduction mystery game. We do not collect personal identifying information (PII) such as your real name, phone number, physical address, contacts, or photos. We use an anonymous device identifier purely to save your game progress and subscription status.
1. Information We Collect
We collect minimal data strictly required to deliver and maintain the gameplay experience:
- Anonymous Device Identifier (UUID): A pseudonymous, randomly generated installation ID used to authenticate your session, sync unlocked case progress, and maintain your investigation scores across restarts.
- Gameplay & Session Data: Game state snapshots, unlocked clues, turn counts, and case completions stored in our secure database.
- Purchase Tokens (Google Play Billing): When you purchase in-app items or subscriptions, Google Play processes payment transactions. We only receive verification tokens to confirm and deliver in-game entitlements (turns, case packs, VIP access). We never see or store your credit card or bank details.
- Crash & Performance Telemetry: Basic anonymized diagnostic logs (device model, OS version, error stack traces) to resolve crashes and improve server stability.
2. How We Use Information
The collected information is used exclusively for:
- Enabling interactive AI interrogation dialogues and evaluating investigation clues;
- Verifying and restoring your purchases through Google Play Billing APIs;
- Preventing abuse, API rate-limiting, and protecting service integrity;
- Providing technical support and fixing software bugs.
3. Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Data Processing
During gameplay, interrogation questions you enter are transmitted to our secure inference gateway to generate suspect responses. These questions are processed ephemerally, stripped of personal identifiers, and are never sold, rented, or used to train third-party public models.
4. Data Storage & Security
All network communications between the Mendax Android application and our backend servers are encrypted in transit using industry-standard HTTPS / TLS 1.3 protocols. Data is stored on secure Cloudflare edge infrastructure with strict tenant isolation and role-based access control.
5. Third-Party Services
Our application interacts with the following trusted third-party providers:
- Google Play Services / Google Play Billing: For app distribution, security verification, and digital good purchases. (Google Privacy Policy)
- Cloudflare Workers & D1/R2 Infrastructure: For hosting game APIs, encrypted case assets, and serverless compute. (Cloudflare Privacy Policy)
6. Children's Privacy (COPPA & Global Standards)
Mendax: AI Interrogations is directed toward players aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us to request immediate deletion.
7. Data Retention & Deletion Rights
You have the right to request deletion of your gameplay data at any time. You can delete your account instantly inside the app (Profile → Google Account & Cloud Backup → Delete Account), or via our web account-deletion page. Purchase orders are retained only in anonymized form for financial compliance.
